The confirmation hearing for President-elect Donald Trump's choice for secretary of Labor has been pushed back to February, The Hill reports.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee said the hearing for Andrew Puzder is being moved to accommodate the hearing for Betsy DeVos, Trump's pick for secretary of Education.
"Mr. Puzder's hearing was tentatively scheduled for Jan. 17 but will have to be moved due to the rescheduling of Mrs. DeVos' hearing to the 17th at the request of Senate leadership," an aide to committee chairman Sen. Lamar Alexander told The Hill Friday.
"Because of the complicated Senate calendar in January, the hearing may not be until February," the aide added.
Puzder is the CEO of CKE Restaurants, the parent company of fast-food chains Hardee's and Carl's Jr., according to The New York Times.
