Hillary Clinton is supporting President Barack Obama's views on the Orlando massacre only because he is protecting her from being indicted for the use of her private email server while she was secretary of state, Donald Trump said at a campaign rally in Atlanta, The Hill reported.

"That whole thing is ridiculous what's going on there," the presumptive Republican nominee said. "How that can happen in our country today is one of the great insults to law enforcement. She's being protected, she's being totally protected … Maybe we'll all be surprised, maybe our laws will work the way they are supposed to work. But folks, I think if something was going to happen on the crimes that have been committed, I would have assumed it would have happened already."

Clinton has been severely criticized for her use of the private email, but she insists she did not break any laws. However, CNN said a recent State Department Inspector General report showed Clinton did not follow the rules or inform staff about her private emails server, as is required.

And in a court filing this week, a federal judge said the FBI is conducting a "criminal investigation" into her private server, the first explicit confirmation refuting Clinton's claim that the probe is only a security review, The Daily Caller reports.
