A new Fox News poll has Democrat Hillary Clinton ahead of Republican Donald Trump by seven points — she had led by only two points in the previous Fox News poll.
Here are the results of a four-way national race with likely voters:
- Democrat Hillary Clinton: 45 percent
- Republican Donald Trump: 38 percent
- Libertarian Gary Johnson: 7 percent
- Green Party Jill Stein: 3 percent.
Clinton led Trump by only four points (48 percent-44 percent) two weeks ago in the same poll's four-way contest. Since then, an audio tape of Trump using vulgar language to talk about women in 2005 has been released.
In a two-way race, Clinton leads Trump by eight points (49 percent-41 percent).
The poll was conducted Monday to Wednesday, starting one day after the second presidential debate and three days after the release of an audio recording of Trump making lewd comments about women from 2005.
Pollsters talked to 1,006 randomly chosen registered voters across the country by landline and cellphone. It included 917 likely voters. The margin of error among both groups was plus-or-minus 3 percentage points.
