Hollywood liberals Alec Baldwin and Alyssa Milano are supporting Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum in his bid to become Florida’s next governor.
The outspoken stars were the "marquee names" Thursday night at a California fundraiser for Gillum and other Democrats running across the country, The Washington Free Beacon reports.
Baldwin makes weekly headlines portraying President Donald Trump on "Saturday Night Live," while Milano is best known for her turn on TV’s "Who’s The Boss?"
The gala was held at the Santa Monica home of Los Angeles power couple Skip Brittenham and Heather Thomas, who also had producer Rashida Jones and producer Norman Lear on the guest list, according to The Tampa Bay Times.
Gillum hopes to succeed Rick Scott, who’s prohibited from running again because of term limits. Also seeking the governor’s job are: Rep. Ron DeSantis, a Republican; former Rep. Gwen Graham, Elevation Financial Group CEO Chris King and former Miami mayor Philip Levine, all Democrats.
