Florida officials are extending the deadline for voter registration for residents impacted by Hurricane Michael, the Tallahassee Democrat is reporting.

Tuesday is the official last day to register to vote. But any voter registration office closed on Tuesday to prepare for the storm will permit residents to register the next day the office is open.

Meanwhile, the Florida Division of Election is encouraging voters to continue to register online at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov, the newspaper said.
