Biden Will Attend Inauguration, Whoever Wins

President Joe Biden will attend the inauguration of the next U.S. president in January regardless of who wins next Tuesday's election, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Wednesday.

Biden has vowed a peaceful transfer of power, in contrast with the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol siege in which protesters sought to derail congressional certification of Biden's victory over Donald Trump.
