A leading super PAC that supports President Donald Trump has committed a five-figure expenditure to back Indiana Senate candidate Mike Braun.

The Committee to Defend the President will spend $66,000 over the final days of the midterm elections campaign on two TV ads airing across the Hoosier State. A former Republican member of the House, Braun is campaigning to unseat Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind.

"The radical left is energized leading up to Election Day, so it's up to Republicans to stand up and support President Trump's agenda," committee chairman Ted Harvey said.

"They can do so in Indiana by voting for Mike Braun, who is a proven business leader and staunch conservative. He will defend our president from the Senate's anti-Trump Democrats. The Committee to Defend the President will do whatever it takes to help elect Mike Braun, and re-elect President Trump in 2020."

The ads, which can be viewed here and here, raise the super PAC's spending in Indiana to $71,000. The group has spent more than $5.5 million on the midterms.

The Indiana Senate race is close, with the latest RealClear Politics polling average showing Donnelly has a lead of less than a percentage point.
