President Donald Trump's team has reportedly compiled a list of about 50 infrastructure projects, totaling at least $137.5 billion, to deliver on his campaign promise to renew U.S. highways, airports, dams, and bridges.

The priority list of "Emergency & National Security Projects" includes cost estimates and job impact numbers, an unnamed senior congressional aide told McClatchy.

It proposes funding the projects as public-private partnerships, with half the money coming from private investment, the news group said.

The National Governors Association circulated a list as a spreadsheet among state officials in December, requesting further suggestions.

"The total number of projects is more than 300," Elena Waskey, a spokeswoman for the association, told McClatchy. "We are working to convene information for as many states as possible that we will then forward to the administration."

The Trump team projects include, McClatchy reported:

  • A $10 billion proposal to replace the nation's radar-based air traffic control system with one based on satellites. The document projects the project could create 2,300 direct jobs.
  • Expansions at Kansas City International Airport, as well as expansions of the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
  • In North Carolina, an I-95 project would improve one of the oldest sections of the busiest interstate in the nation; it would cost $1.5 billion, and generate an estimated 5,400 jobs.
  • In Texas, a 250-mile high-speed railway would move commuters between Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth in less than 90 minutes; it would cost $12 billion and create 40,000 direct jobs.
  • I-395 reconstruction in Florida.
  • A Cadiz Valley Water Conservation, Recovery and Storage Project to conserve renewable groundwater in California's Mojave Desert.
