Hillary Clinton on Thursday posted a pitch-perfect zinger in response to a pertinent portion of an Office of the Inspector General report on the FBI's handling of her use of private email.

The former secretary of state dryly tweeted back:
Law & Crime opinion writer Matt Naham, noting previous Clinton statements considered outrageous, maddening or tone deaf, praised her response for being "short, the timing was right, and it was funny."
The scathing IG report detailed what led up to Comey's decision to hold a July 2016 press conference where he would described Clinton as "extremely careless," but that “no reasonable prosecutor” would recommend charges against her — and what preceded his reopening the probe of her emails on Oct. 28, 2016 in a letter to Congress and then closing it again Nov. 6, 2016, two days before the election.
