Journalist James O'Keefe tells Newsmax that he was offered 20 ballots after visiting more than 20 polling locations in North Carolina Monday, just by giving the poll workers names of inactive voters.
"Just today, just a few moments ago, we released a video in North Carolina where I got offered 20 ballots to vote by simply walking up to the polls and saying inactive voters names," O'Keefe, the Project Veritas filmmaker, told J.D. Hayworth on "America's Forum" on
Newsmax TV Monday.

"We've been in Colorado. We've been in North Carolina most recently," he explained. "We got a campaign manager fired in North Carolina on Friday . . . [for] encouraging a noncitizen to vote, which is a felony."
"The group had "a videographer" with a "hidden camera . . . interviewing a campaign manager in North Carolina, saying that he wanted to cast ballots as noncitizens and the campaign manager responded, 'Yea, I mean sure, go ahead and do it,'" O'Keefe explained.
"His statement, 'go do it' is actually a felony in the state of North Carolina to induce, to encourage noncitizen voting," he said.
O'Keefe says that it doesn't matter in the Tarheel State whether or not someone is aware of the law in order to be charged with breaking it.
"The common law doesn't distinguish whether you know that you're breaking a law or not," he explained.
He said that in one case when the Project Veritas journalists asked if they were "going to get in trouble with the immigration officials," if they voted without being U.S. citizens, they were essentially told, "Don't get caught."
"There was an intent there to get around the authorities to make sure we weren't caught when we did the illegal behavior," he added.
With the midterm elections Tuesday, O'Keefe contends that voter fraud could make the difference in states where the elections are "decided by a few hundred votes."
