Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., leading the impeachment prosecution of former President Donald Trump for "incitement to insurrection," called for supporters to "fight like hell" to halt the replacement of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last fall.
It was one of at least four instances the Save America PAC's Trump War Room Twitter account found with Raskin urging followers to "fight" or "fight like hell" – a phrase House Democrats said Trump used 20 times in his speech at a rally in Washington on Jan. 6 and was key to their claim he incited the crowd to breach the U.S. Capitol.
"The GOP rush to replace Justice Ginsburg is all about destroying the Affordable Care Act, women's healthcare and reproductive freedom, and the voting rights and civil rights of the people," Raskin posted to Twitter on Sept. 20. "We must fight like hell to stop this assault on healthcare and the Constitution."
Another came from May 2017 when Raskin encouraged Democrats to demand an investigation into allegations the Trump campaign conspired with Russian government officials to sway the 2016 election. A subsequent investigation found no evidence existed.
Save America also posted other Democrats using the same language in Twitter posts, including: Joe Biden; and fellow impeachment managers Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif.; Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., Rep. Joe Neguse, D-Colo.
