Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., gave a bipartisan assessment of Congress on Sunday when asked about the low approval rating of the legislative branch: "We s**k."
Moskowitz made the comment in an interview on "Fox News Sunday" when asked about Congress' 26% approval rating.
Moskowitz added he was speaking about Democrats, too. "That's why it is. The data is clear. And it's been clear.
"Look at what happened in the 118th Congress. We removed a speaker — that had never happened in American history. Then they almost removed a second speaker.
"Democrats had to step in to table that. Every time Democrats remove a Republican from a committee, Republicans then go and remove two Democrats from a committee," he said.
"It's like high school. It's tit for tat. And we're breaking the place every single solitary day. And both parties are doing that," he added.
The approval rating, according to a Fox News poll, was actually 7 points better than it was last February.
"All these problems we have are not gonna be solved by one party," Moskowitz said.
"I have bad news for my Republican colleagues: We're gonna have to do this ourselves. So we dug this hole together, we're going to have to get out of it together."
