Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, leader of the House Freedom Caucus, said that he will "enthusiastically" support for Donald Trump in the presidential race.

Jordan made the comment during an interview featured on the Washington Examiner's "Examining Politics" podcast.

Mentioning that he'd agreed to support the eventual Republican nominee, Jordan voiced his "enthusiastic" support for Trump.

Admittedly, Jordan did not feel the same during the presidential primaries, as he had supported other candidates, but now that Trump has announced his views on abortion and guns, the Ohio representative told The Hill that he's ready to support the Republican nominee.

"I've said all along I'm going to support the nominee, and I'm going to work with him because I know the alternative," the Ohio congressman said, likely referring to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

Jordan also serves on the House's Benghazi investigation committee. The Columbus Dispatch reported that CNN legal expert Jeffrey Toobin slammed Jordan's questioning of Hillary Clinton.

Toobin claimed that Jordan's questioning was "this really repulsive spectacle that I think will really show very poorly for the Congress."

Jordan has said he knows his stances are often not popular. The Dispatch noted that his son told him after one particular hearing to, "not look at your Facebook page."
