Joseph DiGenova, the former federal prosecutor who had been set to join President Donald Trump’s legal team, said that Attorney General Jeff Sessions must fire Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general.

"Rod Rosenstein is so incompetent, compromised, and conflicted that he can no longer serve as the deputy attorney general," DiGenova said Wednesday on Fox News’ "Hannity."

"Jeff Sessions now has an obligation to the president of the United States to fire Rod Rosenstein after Rod Rosenstein authorized the unconstitutional and unprofessional search of the office of Michael Cohen in New York," DiGenova said.

Rosenstein approved the raid the FBI raid on Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal attorney.

DiGenova has taken aim at Rosenstein before. In a Fox News appearance on April 4, DiGenova called Rosenstein a "coward."
