MSNBC host Joy Reid on Wednesday claimed that the more conservative Supreme Court justices can’t be trusted “to do the right thing” if the 2020 presidential election is decided by the court.

Reid, during a panel discussion on the presidential election, criticized Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, and Amy Coney Barrett, questioning whether any of them would rule against President Donald Trump if his campaign took the election to the Supreme Court.

"It's not exactly clear that we can trust Amy Coney Barrett and Kavanaugh and these others not to be just like [Attorney General] Bill Barr," Reid said in the early hours on Wednesday. "So what I think scares people is that if [Trump] decides to do something that legally makes no sense ... but if they somehow manage to stumble into the Supreme Court, do any of you guys trust Uncle Clarence and Amy Coney Barrett and those guys to actually follow the letter of the law? No! I mean, it's a completely politicized Supreme Court that you can't just trust that they're going to do the right thing."

However, Reid then added: “Now, so far, the courts have actually been pretty good. So, we'll see.”
