Conservative groups are making an aggressive play against Democrats for obstructing President Donald Trump's nominees for the federal judiciary, Axios reported.

Judicial Crisis Network is spending $500K on an ad shaming Democrats for "abusing Senate rules" that allow them to spend 30 hours debating each candidate — even if they plan to vote to confirm.

"It's a hidden scandal," the ad begins.

"Democrats abusing Senate rules, using gridlock and obstruction to keep liberals in control of our courts," the ad says. "There are now more vacancies than when Trump took office."

JCN is partnering with Tea Party Patriots and the Susan B. Anthony List among others who plan to target Democrats at town halls, Axios reported.

The ad instructs Americans to call their senator to say they support gridlock reform by Sen. James Lankford, who has been at the fore of the issue.
