Katrina Pierson: Trump Being President Makes His Tweets Presidential

President Donald Trump's tweets are presidential because he's the president, his former spokesperson Katrina Pierson said Monday.

Pierson appeared on Fox News' "The Story with Martha MacCallum" and was asked about the president's Twitter habit that has many people up in arms.

"The American people voted for Donald Trump … I've said over and over again, what you see is what you get," Pierson said.

"Donald Trump is Donald Trump. He's not going to change. By the very nature of being president of the United States makes his actions presidential, whether you like it or not."

Trump caught flak for a Sunday morning tweet that showed him beating up someone whose face was replaced with a logo that looked like CNN's.

Mediaite posted a clip of Pierson's remarks.

Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer said Monday Trump is "trolling the press" by repeatedly criticizing it.
