Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling’s daughter weighed in on the invocation of the iconic show at Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s Senate panel hearing — saying her dad would’ve likely envisioned some “cosmic justice” on the issue.
In a tweet Friday — a day after the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing where Kavanaugh referred to new sexual misconduct accusations as “ridiculous and from ‘The Twilight Zone’” — Anne Serling ran with the idea.
“Because The Twilight Zone has been invoked in the Kavenaugh [sic] hearings, I’ll offer this: my father believed in decency, integrity and justice,” she tweeted. “Had he written this, I assure you–there would indeed be a further FBI investigation along with some cosmic justice.”
According to The Wrap, CBS announced last week the legendary sci-fi show would be brought back with”Get Out” director Jordan Peele doing Serling’s role as the show’s host as well as its executive producer.
It’ll be released on the CBS All-Access streaming service in 2019.
