House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., posted a video on his Facebook page parodying the Netflix series "Stranger Things" and blasting Democrats for their "hypocrisy" on impeachment.

The video is titled "Democrat Hypocrisy Is a Strange Thing" and features clips of several prominent Democrats during the impeachment of then-President Bill Clinton in 1998.

The video begins with the words "A Democrat Original Series" flashed across the screen. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, then a New York congressman, is seen saying, "We've lowered the bar on impeachment so much that it will be used as a routine tool to fight political battles. My fear is that when a Republican wins the White House, Democrats will demand payback."

Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., who is now the House Judiciary Committee chairman, is also included in the video. He says, "An impeachment of a president is an undoing of a national election."

The video closes with a clip of McCarthy. "It is time to stop putting the American public through this nightmare," he says.

A spokesman for McCarthy confirmed his office produced the video, The Hill reported.
