Republicans want to know what exactly happened with a hacked Democratic National Committee computer server last year.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told The Washington Times he'd like to see the results of the cybersecurity report that was conducted after the server was hacked. Evidence suggests that Russia was behind the attack.

"I want to find out from the company [that] did the forensics what their full findings were," Graham said.

The DNC sought help from cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike to investigate who was behind the hack. It did not ask for assistance from the FBI or another law enforcement agency, although it has since provided the bureau a copy of the server.

Graham's request to see the full report may indicate that lawmakers want to dig into the server as they investigate claims that President Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russia and Russia's attempts to influence the U.S. presidential election.

Hacked emails from the server were released last summer ahead of the Democratic National Convention, which resulted in DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz stepping down from her post.

Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, said last month he thinks the DNC might be hiding something regarding the server it says was compromised.

"Why would they not invite them in?" Gohmert said referencing the fact that the DNC hid the hack from the FBI for months. "And I'm really interested in their excuse. But just from my own experience in all those years, usually the reason somebody didn't want to invite law enforcement in to investigate is because they knew they would find that they had committed crimes if they came in and started investigating."

Trump has also been critical of the DNC over its handling of the cyberattack, tweeting this last month:
