A staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, Fox Business' Lou Dobbs, rebuked Republicans in feeding into the House Democrats' endless attempts to cancel the president, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
"What in the world is Congressman McCarthy thinking?" Dobbs asked Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio on Wednesday's "Lou Dobbs Tonight."
Dobbs was referring to McCarthy's reported message to House Republicans the president acknowledged bearing some responsibility for the storming of the Capitol after a Jan. 6 rally in Washington, D.C.
Jordan noted at least McCarthy and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., voted against impeachment, unlike House GOP No. 3 Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., breaking from the caucus leadership.
"We appreciate that," Jordan, the House GOP impeachment debate leader, told Dobbs. "I think they have led our conference in a difficult time.
"What I chose to focus on [Wednesday] is the good work the president's done, this relentless attack he has faced from the swamp, and the accomplishments he has made for our country, doing what he said he would do more than any president in my lifetime. And that's what the American people so appreciate."
Dobbs concluded with a message American Republicans have been let down by "RINOs who are in leadership in both the House and the Senate."
RINO is an acronym for Republicans in name only.
