Mac Thornberry: 'I Support the President's Decision' to Attack Syria

The Republican chairman of the House Armed Services Committee applauded President Donald Trump's decision to launch a cruise missiles attack on a Syrian airfield.

In a statement, Texas GOP Rep. Mac Thornberry joined other lawmakers supporting the action Thursday night, The Hill reported.

"I support the President's decision to take military action in Syria," he said. "My hope is that this action will help deter future atrocities by the Assad regime."
