Karoleva: For My American Friends - Europe Is Not Lost

For my American friends who think Europe has lost its mind, it hasn’t.

Call it the "Brussels Bubble," they still don't want to accept this simple reality, but soon they will have to face the truth.

In every European member state, strong movements are growing demanding sovereignty, respect for each individual identity and freedom.

Europe is becoming great again!

Attending the Make Europe Great Again (MEGA) Conference at the end of January left me feeling optimistic.

We are back baby; we are so back! Seeing a strong alliance come together right in the lion’s den brought a ray of light.

For once, the always grey Brussels sky began showing some color.

Across Europe, leaders are standing up.

For example, in Romania, thousands are taking to the streets chanting, "Don’t forget, Ursula, Romania is ours." (Ursula Von der Leyen is the unelected president of the European Commission [EC]. She was re-elected while still being under investigation for making euro COVID-19-vaccine deals with the CEO of Pfizer, now called "PfizerGate.")

In Hungary, Viktor Orbán, a loyal Trump supporter, remains a beacon of strong leadership, standing alone against the European Commission’s insane 800-billion-euro defense spending plan.

In Italy, Giorgia Meloni has made it clear she will not send Italian troops to Ukraine.

The UK’s Nigel Farage is packing out venues with crowds fired up for change, showing that people demand common-sense leadership.

Europe has experienced a colossal conservative and patriotic awakening.

Europe is becoming more MAGA and fighting back against the establishment bureaucracy.

When you look at the recent elections, the numbers don’t lie.

Meanwhile, in Germany, the rising, common-sense, center-right party, AfD, doubled its number of voters compared to the last elections in 2021.

All the while, the mainstream media doomed the AfD party as "extreme-right" but for people with common sense it was and is simply a center-right party.

In my home country, the Dutch PVV won the elections. They secured 37 of the 150 seats in the Second Chamber, our equivalent to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Thirty-five seats may not sound like a massive win but taking into consideration that 26 parties participated in this election, it’s not bad.

France’s Rassemblement National managed to almost double its votes during the 2024 elections compared to 2022. The statistics show a clear message: Europe is done with the EU establishment.

The rise of conservatism is clearly reflected in the European Parliament (EP).

The EP is an undemocratic institution, where elected representatives don't have the right to initiate law proposals.

The right to initiate lies within the EC, a bunch of unelected bureaucrats who govern Europe.

One wonders if the entire system in the EU has been overcomplicated to ensure no one actually understands what happens in Brussels … isn’t that convenient?!

The problem is that the establishment no longer wants to recognize that their days of tyranny are over. The European Conservatives and Reformists and the Patriots for Europe groups own together over one-fifth of the seats in the EP.

Yet, the establishment parties openly opt for a public cordon sanitaire.

This strategy aims to prevent these groups from obtaining leadership roles, thereby limiting the ECRs’ and Patriots' influence within the EP.

Additionally, mainstream groups have systematically blocked every amendment proposed by either one of these groups.

This calculated move underscores the commitment of pro-EU forces to maintain the Parliament’s pro-European stance. The establishment knows that they are losing, so their only option is to rig the system in their favor.

But no matter what they do, the change is inevitable. What unites all these patriotic and conservative movements across Europe is our commitment to the same core values:

• We stand for an end to the mass migration that has fractured and destabilized our European continent.
• We demand that power be returned to where it rightfully belongs, the nation-states, not the hands of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.
• We believe in restoring pride in our Judeo-Christian heritage and way of life, which has been systematically eroded by our establishment.
• We demand an end to the green and woke fever-dream imposed by Brussels, which has made life in Europe barely affordable for millions.

Conservative and patriotic parties are gaining more and more voters. This shows that Europe is on the right track to becoming great again. Yes, the tide has turned! The elites know that their days are over, yet they choose to continue living in a land of their own delusions.

Well, I have news for them, there are new sheriffs in town.

Every desperate measure they take; every power grab; every attempt to silence opposition; every manufactured crisis is nothing more than a last-ditch effort to cling to power that is slipping through their fingers.

The genie is out of the bottle. Europe has awakened and there is no going back.

So no, Europe hasn’t lost its mind, the elite has.

And their reign is coming to an end.
