President Donald Trump wants the country to stop sending out “unsolicited ballots.”

In a Tuesday tweet, Trump called sending 80 million mail-in ballots out “very unfair” and a “roadmap to disaster.”

“Even recent small and easier to control elections which did this are a catastrophic disaster,” Trump wrote. “Fraudulent & missing Ballots like never seen before. 20% and 30% off. STOP!”

Trump has been opposed to expanding mail-in voting even amid the coronavirus pandemic. He has said mail-in ballots will lead to fraudulent election results. Despite Trump's stance on mail-in ballots, many states have opted to issue voters mail-in ballots whether they want one or not.

During Ohio's primary, some mail-in ballots came in too late to be counted. It is a problem many fear will happen come November.

A judge recently ruled that New Jersey has to hold a new election after the winner of a Paterson City Council seat and a sitting councilman were charged with voter fraud.

Trump’s reelection campaign has sued New Jersey and several other states in an effort to stop plans to hold the November election mainly by mail.

Trump has even suggested that if universal mail-in voting is implemented, the election may have to be repeated.
