Florida Sen. Marco Rubio seems to be changing his tone towards Republican front-runner Donald Trump, saying Friday his "performance has improved significantly."
According to
the Tampa Bay Times, the Florida senator has yet to endorse a candidate, and told Univision last week that it appeared the real estate mogul will lock down the nomination.
"If he keeps winning delegates like he did the other night in New York, I think he's going to reach that number," Rubio said on Al Punto Florida. "But let's see. There are still other states to go."
Although Rubio noted his "differences with Trump are well documented," he told Miami radio host Jimmy Cefalo that he always said he would support the Republican nominee no matter who it is, "and that's especially true now that it's apparent that Hillary Clinton is going to be the Democratic candidate," he said.
The senators tone toward Trump is much different than a March 12 interview where he told The Miami Herald he wasn't certain about supporting Trump. He said, "I don't know ... It's getting harder everyday."
