GOP presidential candidate and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said in an NPR interview that Donald Trump is "thin-skinned and sensitive to criticism," and wants "no part of Trump's freak show,"
Politico reports.
"I'm not interested in the back and forth — to be a member or a part of his freak show," Rubio remarked. "I would just say this: He is a very sensitive person; he doesn't like to be criticized. He responds to criticism very poorly."
Politico notes that this isn't the first time Rubio has been heard speaking on Trump's sensitivity to criticism, as his remarks echoed a recent interview with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly where he added that Trump is someone you "can't have a conversation about policy because quite frankly he doesn't know anything about policy."
The remarks come after Trump has relentlessly ripped and criticized the Florida senator for "being too young," "overly ambitious," and "disloyal" to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and his alleged tendency to sweat.
"I've never seen a young guy sweat so much," Trump said in South Carolina last week, talking about the long debate and the hot stage under which all candidates stood for more than three hours, according to Politico.
"He's drinking water, water, water, I never saw anything like this with him with the water."
