A Facebook post reportedly belonging to Mark Green, President Donald Trump's nominee for Army secretary, blasts the "liberal left" for blatantly falsifying his words about terrorism, ISIS and the LGBT community.
"The liberal left has cut and spliced my words about terrorism and ISIS blatantly falsifying what I've said," notes the posting from Mark Green, who Politico identifies as Trump's nominee.
Green's post links to a Christian Fighter Pilot report.
The blog brands itself as a venue for Christians in the military, Politico noted.
The story, which does not have a byline, claims the LGBT community has "redoubled" its efforts to stop Green. It accused LGBT activists of targeting Green because of his religion.
"It would seem that this gentleman has figured out why certain people are cutting and splicing my words to paint me as a hater," Green wrote, referring to the author of the story on the website.,
And he added: "I have never considered myself a judge of anyone, but I have been a protector of everyone in this nation."
