President Donald Trump should cease his attacks on the Attorney General, says Mark Levin, Editor-in-Chief of the Conservative Review.
Trump has repeatedly slammed Attorney General Jeff Sessions for his "very weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes," and for recusing himself from the Justice Department investigation into Russian election interference
"YOU said your administration would not pursue Hillary," Levin wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday. "And even though I personally disagree with Sessions recusing himself, you've no more loyal person. He was the first senator to endorse you. He campaigned for you. He left the Senate to serve you. Sessions is pursuing your agenda at DOJ. And if you think you'll do better, I believe you're wrong. Besides, the Senate has to confirm whomever you nominate."
Levin concluded with a link to Real Clear Politics of him on the radio Monday defending Sessions as the best Attorney General Trump can get confirmed.
"I would discourage the president of the U.S. and whoever is advising him, from what appears to be this effort to slowly, or maybe not so slowly, push Jeff Sessions out the door. That would be a big mistake — whether you agree with everything he has done is besides the point," Levin said.
