Pro-life advocacy group Susan B. Anthony List has thrown its weight behind Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., in Tennessee's Senate race.
Blackburn is running for the seat currently occupied by Republican Sen. Bob Corker, who last year announced plans to retire at the end of his current term. Those plans may be in jeopardy, however, but Blackburn continues to push forward with her campaign.
"Marsha Blackburn is a tireless pro-life champion who never hesitates to go on offense on behalf of unborn children and their mothers," Susan B. Anthony List Vice President Marilyn Musgrave said, according to The Washington Times.
A Republican, Musgrave represented Colorado in the House from 2003-2009.
Blackburn thanked the group for supporting her Senate bid.
"I am unapologetically 100 percent pro-life, and I'm grateful for the Susan B. Anthony List's support," she said, the Times reported. "As I always have, I will continue to stand up for unborn children and their mothers."
Blackburn recently spent $1 million on three months of TV ads that will run in Tennessee beginning in late April.
