Rep. Blackburn to Senators: 'Get to Work' on Healthcare

CNN's "New Day"/Twitter

Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., said Monday that senators should "show some spine" and "get to work" at repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act.

"We think the Senate needs to get to work and send the House the bill so we can get this fixed," Blackburn said on CNN's "New Day."

"President Trump, I believe, is looking to solve the problem," she said.

Trump himself tweeted about healthcare Monday, questioning why Congress doesn't "pay what [the] public pays?"

"We've had the gang of seven or eight. I want the gang of 51. I want the Senate to show spine and fix this problem," Blackburn added.

"All members of Congress are on the Affordable Care Act," she mentioned, suggesting that therefore they all know the "problems" within Obamacare.

"And one of the things we tell people all the time, we know firsthand the problems with healthcare," Blackburn said.
