Former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo said that special counsel Robert Mueller's team did not seem to care when he told them about alleged informants who approached him during the 2016 presidential election, according to Fox News.
"I gave this information to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and I gave this information to the Mueller team," Caputo said. "They never reached out to the intermediary to check on it. They didn't even seem to be taking notes."
Caputo told Fox News' "Your World" that an intermediary approached him in May 2016 that "had been talking to a government official" wanting to apparently give over Hillary Clinton-related emails to the Trump campaign.
Caputo said he didn't want possession of the emails, because they might be classified documents and told the intermediary to go through proper channels for a whistleblower.
He added that he did not give the incident much thought until WikiLeaks revealed information about the Clinton campaign in October 2016.
Caputo's latest revelation came after he earlier this week on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle" said at least one more government informant tried to infiltrate the Trump presidential campaign, insisting that "the FBI is not the only Obama agency who came at the campaign."
