Rep. Dave Loebsack, D-Iowa, looks to be on pace to keep his seat if the results of a new poll are indicative of how Election Day plays out.

The latest Emerson poll shows Loebsack has 53 percent support among likely Iowa voters, well ahead of the 40 percent support garnered by Christopher Peters. It's worth noting, however, that 5 percent are still undecided.

Both candidates are running for Iowa's 2nd Congressional District seat.

Loebsack has occupied the seat since 2007. Peters has no experience as an elected official, and he unsuccessfully ran for the 2nd District seat in 2016 and the Iowa State Senate in 2010.
