Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro ripped House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and "the media" for the reactions to President Donald Trump’s comment about MS-13 gang members.
Trump, in a televised meeting, used the word “animals” to describe some illegal immigrants. He later told reporters that he had been referring to members of the MS-13 gang.
"Are you surprised?" Pirro said on Fox News’ "Fox & Friends" on Friday, about the reaction to Trump’s remark.
"The whole point of the media is to make everything they can negative about President Trump. Look, MS-13 is the most violent gang in the world. They rape and kill in order to be initiated into the group. When you beat someone to death, hack them with a machete, beat them with baseball bats and then cut them up a hundred times, I’d call them an animal, OK? And when I was a judge, I called them animals. I prosecuted them.
"That's what they are. But the media wants so much to destroy Donald Trump. What they're missing, of course, is the fact that America sees the good things that he's doing," Pirro said. "They can focus on the negative while Donald Trump ... just keeps coming in and doing what's right for America."
She went on to blast House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for saying that "we are all God’s children," and that "there is a a spark of divinity among every person on earth, and we all have to recognize that as we respect the dignity and worth of every person."
"Maybe she ought to bring [MS-13 members] to her house and let them live with her."
