Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Gov. Jerry Brown, D-Calif., are headliners for a fundraiser for Democrats running for positions in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The event will be held June 18, less than two weeks after the June 5 primaries decide which Democrats take on Republicans in the November midterm elections, the report said.
Tickets to the fundraiser are $25,000, with co-chairmanship of the event being available for $250,000, according to an invitation the Times obtained.
Proceeds will go to the House Majority PAC, a super PAC with ties to Pelosi that has already spent $1.3 million. Attendees at the event will include Democratic nominees in California House races, the invitation said.
Movie mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg and wife Marilyn will host the fundraiser at Spago, chef Wolfgang Puck's flagship restaurant in Beverly Hills, the report said.
Democrats are taking aim at 10 Republican-held House districts in California, which they see as critical to retaking the majority control of the House. The most competitive seat belongs to Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., who announced he would be retiring in January, according to the Times.
