Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., joked that it would be "nice" if Mitt Romney were president.

The House minority leader made the comment Wednesday during a question-and-answer session at a Los Angeles Times event, according to The Boston Globe.

During a discussion about public image, Pelosi said that before he was speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, R-Wis., had advertising support because he had run as the vice presidential candidate with Romney in 2012.

"Wouldn't it be nice if he were president of the United States?" Pelosi said, referring to Romney, the Globe reported.

At another point during the event, she said she had not experienced sexual harassment in Washington, D.C., and said there should be "zero tolerance" when it comes to disrespect for women.

"Your courage gives comfort to other women," Pelosi said at the event to women who had shared their experiences with harassment, according to the LA Times.
