TV advertisements touting South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley are set to hit the airwaves as the Palmetto State's top Republican gears up for her re-election campaign.

The ads, produced by the pro-Haley group the Movement Fund, urge state senators to back the governor's education plan, The State newspaper reported.

Haley will face Democratic state Sen. Vincent Sheheen for the second time in November.

In the ad, a narrator says, "In too many of our poorer communities, education levels aren’t what they should be."

"Nikki Haley has a plan to fix it, more funding for poor districts, improved technology in rural classrooms, intensive reading focus – so every child can read by the end of third grade."

The spots will begin running on Wednesday.

The Republican Governors Association has already aired TV ads attacking Sheheen’s support of the Affordable Care Act.
