NRA spokeswoman and noted conservative Dana Loesch on Thursday crushed legacy media for its role in the aftermath of massacres like the one last week in Florida, saying "many in legacy media love mass shootings."
Loesch made the comments during her speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in National Harbor, Maryland.
"Many in legacy media love mass shootings. You guys love it," Loesch said. "Now, I'm not saying you love the tragedy, but I am saying that you love the ratings. Crying white mothers are ratings gold to you and many of the legacy media in the back."
Loesch was fresh off her appearance at CNN's town hall Wednesday night in Sunrise, Florida, on behalf of the NRA in the spotlight of nearly 7,000 in the aftermath of last week's massacre in nearby Parkland.
Loesch, who said during her speech that she needed a security detail to leave the town hall safely, was loaded for bear Thursday.
"And notice I said 'crying white mothers' because there are thousands of grieving black mothers in Chicago every weekend and you don't see town halls for them do you?" Loesch said.
"Where's the CNN town hall for Chicago? Where's the CNN town hall for sanctuary cities? Where was the voice of those junior ROTC members last night, CNN?" said Loesch, referencing a student who said CNN trashed his question and gave him a scripted question to ask instead.
"If it bleeds, it leads but it has to be the right people, in the right communities at the right time," Loesch said.
