Gun legislation being taken up in Congress Wednesday is a priority for the National Rifle Association, NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch said Wednesday on "Fox & Friends."
"This is all about making sure that everyone has equal access to the — to any ability to defend themselves," Loesch said about the national reciprocity bill, which would allow concealed-carry permits to carry over from one state to another.
"This is why millions of law-abiding Second Amendment practitioners went to the polls in November, because our rights should not end where a state line ends," she added.
"This solves a lot of problems. And it makes sure it is about the equal access of your pro-choice defense. That's all it's about."
Other legislation being taken up would increase authorities' compliance with the federal background check system, according to USA Today.
