Ohio’s Republican Gov. John Kasich said GOP lawmakers need to realize they must serve the people and “not a political party or a president.”
Kasich made his comments in a tweet posted on Thursday.
He wrote: “Republicans must realize they are in office to serve their constituents, not a political party or a president. They are there to do the right thing.”
The tweet was accompanied by a clip of Kasich being interviewed on MSNBC by Chris Matthews on Wednesday, where he added: “The Republicans are having trouble because people don’t want chaos. They don’t want all this fighting. They don’t want all this name-calling.”
