Pat Robertson said Tuesday that liberals are facing a conundrum between two of their favored groups and conservatives should just "sit on the sidelines and let them kill themselves."

Robertson made the comments on Tuesday's edition of the "700 Club."

The left's favored groups, according to Robertson: homosexuals and Islam.

"So the left is having a dilemma of major proportions," Robertson said on the show. "I think for those of us who disagree with some of their policies, the best thing to do is to sit on the sidelines and let them kill themselves. We're looking at a favored group by the left, the homosexuals, and that in Islam is punishable by death or imprisonment or some sanction, so what are the left going to do?"
