Vice President Mike Pence’s spokeswoman who was afflicted with the flu-like COVID-19 has returned to the White House more than two weeks after President Donald Trump confirmed her infection.

Katie Miller, 25, who married Trump adviser Stephen Miller in February at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, announced her return to work in a Twitter post Tuesday and also disclosed that she is pregnant.

"Back at work today after three NEGATIVE COVID tests,” Katie Miller tweeted. “Thank you to all my amazing doctors and everyone who reached out with support. I couldn't have done it without my amazing husband who took great care of his pregnant wife. #TransitionToGreatness.”

Katie Miller was the second White House staff member to test positive following a presidential valet. White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany also confirmed that Stephen Miller has returned to work after the couple self-quarantined following Katie Miller’s positive test on May 8.

"They're both back at work and healthy and happy and we're very happy to see them around," McEnany said according to CNN and the New York Daily News.

Katie Miller’s positive diagnosis led White House staffers in the West Wing – which includes the Oval Office – to begin wearing masks and also sparked officials to track her contacts before becoming infected.

USA Today reported available data indicates there is no serious increased risk to pregnant women or unborn children from the novel coronavirus.

The British medical journal Lancet published a study in February that said nine pregnant women in China with pneumonia related to COVID-19 saw no indication that the virus was transmitted to the babies.
