Poll: Battleground State Voters Oppose Trump Impeachment

Fifty-two percent of voters in six battleground states oppose impeaching President Donald Trump and removing him from office, according to a new poll by The New York Times Upshot and Siena College.

Forty-four percent of the voters in those swing states of Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin back impeachment and removal.

Here is how the results break down:

  • 52% of voters in Arizona oppose impeachment/removal, compared to 45% who support it.
  • 53% in Florida are against it, while 42% are in favor.
  • 51% in Michigan oppose impeachment/removal, compared to 42% who support it.
  • 53% in North Carolina are against it, while 43% are in favor.
  • 52% of voters in Pennsylvania oppose impeachment/removal, compared to 45% who support it.
  • 51% in Wisconsin are against it, while 45% are in favor.
  • 52% of voters in all six battleground states support the impeachment inquiry, compared to 44% who are opposed to it.

The poll, conducted Oct. 13-26, surveyed 3,766 voters across the six states. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.7 percentage points.
