President Donald Trump gives his administration an "A-plus" on the economy, but that is only because there is nothing higher than that.
"Look, I hate to do it, but I will do it, I would give myself an A-plus," President Trump told "Fox News Sunday." "Is that enough? Can I go higher than that?"
President Trump sat down for a wide-ranging interview with Fox's Chris Wallace, talking about the special counsel, his acting attorney general overseeing it, potential midterm administration turnover, relations with Saudi Arabia, midterm election results, media criticism and battles, and the economy.
"I think I am doing a great job," President Trump told Wallace. "We have the best economy we ever had.
"We would have been in a war with North Korea if – let's say – that administration continued forward."
President Trump added rebukes of the "94 percent negative" coverage of his administration.
"Fake news, fake reporting is what's tearing this country apart," President Trump said. "Because people know. People like things that are happening, and they're not hearing about it."
