Two of the NFL's biggest stars, quarterbacks Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, posted social media salutes to "unity," "dedication," and "brotherhood" amid a firestorm against President Donald Trump's comments NFL players who "disrespect our flag and country" should be "fired."

Both photos show the quarterbacks sharing moments with teammates of a different race, and both Instagram photos were posted at similar time before NFL Sunday games.

The posts come on the same morning Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who has been considered supporter of President Trump, released a statement he was "deeply disappointed by the tone" of Trump's comments against NFL flag and National Anthem protestors.

President Trump also kept fanning the flames Sunday morning, tweeting a call for fans to rebuke the "boring" NFL by refusing to go to game, which would lead the league to "fire or suspend" players for "disrespecting our flag and country."
