The tumultuous 2016 presidential race continues to tighten down the stretch. Hillary Clinton is up in Pennsylvania and Donald Trump is ahead in Ohio, but both Florida and North Carolina are too close to call, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.
The results:
- Clinton 48, Trump 43 in Pennsylvania
- Trump 46, Clinton 41 in Ohio
- Clinton 47, Trump 44 in North Carolina
- Clinton 46, Trump 45 in Florida
The survey was conducted from Oct. 27-Nov. 1 with 626 likely Florida voters, 602 likely North Carolina voters, 589 likely Ohio voters and 612 likely Pennsylvania voters. The margin of error in Florida was +/-3.9 percentage points and +/- 4 percentage points in Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
At least 49 percent of voters polled said their opinion of Trump was strongly unfavorable and at least 48 said the same of Clinton. Florida, which has the most electoral votes, is a virtual tie.
