Rasmussen Poll: Trump Leads Clinton By 7 Points

Donald Trump has leaped to a 7-point lead over Hillary Clinton — his largest yet over the Democratic presumptive nominee, a new weekly poll shows.

The Rasmussen Reports weekly survey breaks down the support this way:
  • Trump: 44 percent;
  • Clinton: 37 percent;
  • Some other candidate: 13 percent;
  • Undecided: 6 percent.
In a breakdown by party, the support shows:
  • Trump: 80 percent of Republicans, 13 percent of Democrats;
  • Clinton: 72 percent of Democrats, 5 percent of Republicans.

The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

According to a Real Clear Politics averaging of polls, Clinton holds a 3.1-point lead over Trump, 44 to 40.9 percent.
