Priebus: 'Consequences' to Trump's Third-Party Comments

There are "consequences" to GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump's new threats to run third-party if he feels he was cheated out of the nomination, says RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.

"And so when you make those kinds of comments, and you want people to fall in line for you, it makes it more difficult," Priebus said Sunday on ABC's "This Week." 

Those consequences come from the fact that seeking to head a group that you profess to dislike could be seen as a problem, he said.

"If you were running for president of the Kiwanis Club or the Boy Scouts and you said you don’t know if you like the Kiwanis or the Boy Scouts, I think that makes your challenge even greater to ultimately win those kinds of posts," Priebus said. "It’s no different for the Republican Party."
