New York radio personality Randy Credico was Roger Stone’s WikiLeaks’ contact during the 2016 presidential campaign, according to sources who spoke with CNN.
Stone, President Donald Trump’s longtime associate, in mid-October complied with the House Russia investigators’ request to provide the identity of his intermediary to WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange.
While he has denied any direct contact with Assange, Stone previously suggested he may have had advance knowledge of WikiLeaks’ release of emails belonging to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign chairman John Podesta.
Credico plans to appear before the House Intelligence Committee on Dec. 15, and his lawyer Martin Stolar told CNN Credico has “had conversations with Julian Assange.”
Credico, earlier this week during an interview with NY1, did not divulge he was Stone’s contact.
"You believe that story? Let me just say this. I am not at liberty courtesy of my counsel to talk about Roger Stone or to talk about WikiLeaks or to talk about Julian Assange, because these are both guests that appear on my show," Credico said. "And by talking to you about it, that could give them the tire iron to get me to talk."
