Rep. Ron DeSantis said he is kicking rival Adam Putnam’s "keister in South Florida," in a bid to capture the Republican nomination for governor, the SunSentinel is reporting.
"I am kicking his keister in South Florida, and I think part of that is I have a record on issues that are important to southern Floridians," he said. "(In) Miami, I am kicking his butt."
And he predicted: "I will win Palm Beach, Broward and Dade with significant margins" in the August 28 primary.
A Mason-Dixon Polling & Research survey released late last month showed DeSantis with a 41-29 percent lead over Putnam, Florida’s agriculture commissioner.
