It's Rep. Ron Estes vs. Ron M. Estes in the Kansas Republican primary for Congress in August, The Wichita Eagle reported.
Rep. Estes is seeking a second term representing District 4 in Kansas, but now he has to butt heads with Ron M. Estes, who's billing himself as the "The Real Ron Estes."
Team Congressman Estes is not amused.
"This is clearly an attempt to deceive Kansas voters," Rep. Ron Estes spokesman Josh Bell told the Eagle.
Challenger Ron Estes entered the race swinging, calling Rep. Estes "the epitome of the D.C. Swamp."
"I believe Kansas Republicans deserve a Rep. Ron Estes who will show up and represent Fourth District Kansans," the Eagle quoted the challenger.
Rep. Estes was the first Republican to win a special election in the President Donald Trump era when he successfully ran to replace the House seat vacated by Mike Pompeo, who was tapped then to become CIA director.
